I would like to dedicate this page to my husband. You see, since we started dating, we made a rule for Valentine's day: all gifts must be handmade. Well obviously I didn't make this webpage with my hands but I did write these words with them. =) Anyway, this post, won't provide you with the usual DIY project ideas or thought-provoking quotes, but it will allow you to peek into the life of two people who love each other... alot! From the bottom of my heart, I wish you all the happiest of Valentine's Days!
It has been exactly one year since I quit writing our life down in that notebook... BUT just because I didn't put it all down on paper does not mean I don't remember lots of amazing stuff that happened this past year. Some things, you just can't forget...But just in case one day we are old and crazy, I'm blogging it down.
When I went to Disney World for my bachelorette party, we were away from each other for five days (which is the longest we have ever gone without seeing each other since we met). I left you clues to find notes that I hid all over the house and you called my phone every day to leave me voice mails (which you never do). Come to think of it, I don't think you have left me a vmail since = p
April 2011
On the day of our wedding, I think you gave me my favorite gift ever (besides promising me your life, of course). You made a video that told me all the reasons you love me. You used several of our favorite movie clips and quotes and completely stole my heart, again.

Two words. Amalfi Coast.
Enough said.
June 2011
First real month of being married. All I remember is being so in love I didn't care about any of those "marital adjustments."
We got extra Ava time this month, watched a ton of movies, and were broke as a joke.
August 2011
It is probably safe to say that I was just a tiny bit stressed that week before school started. So what did you do? Made me better, of course! I still cannot express how much I appreciated that surprise get-away to Natchez.
Our bank account and our bodies took September to recover from all the sickliness we endured from kidney issues, migraines, and Mimi's double pneumonia. I loved the way we took care of each other (even if you do turn into a man-baby when you get even just a sniffle!).
October 2011
It was my birthday month... so you spoiled me. Not only did you and your mama buy me a mani, pedi, and massage, you arranged it where I got to watch, not just one, but two Ryan G. movies in the same month! Also, we got to meet the most precious baby boy ever, Rowan Atticus Lightsey.
November was slam full of LSU football games, a trip to Phoenix, (obsessive) hunting, massages (your first), lots of family time, and, of course, me and you.I love how you make the little things in life so wonderful...
December 2011
I know Christmas shouldn't be about the receiving, but baby, you are an amazing giver! I'm still so impressed with the thought you put into each of my gifts... I guess you really do listen; )
Also, I have to include that this was the Christmas that we bought the Geddie side of my family footed onesies to wear on Christmas morning. I am still laughing...
This was the month we made our first offer on a house (and it was accepted) and we added a new member to our little family. That member happens to be Ellie, the dog, but still! Gah... I feel so married now.
February 2012
This month has only lasted 14 days but whooooooooh! So much has happened! We got to spend lots of time with the Princess, lots of money at the Anthropologie auction, and lots of hours watching (dumb yet thoroughly entertaining) reality tv. It has been a good one...
