So I have this picture in my mind. It's Jesus and me standing on this riverbank. The air is crisp, the water is roaring, but not too loud because we can still hear the birds singing and it's just Him and me.
He throws in a stick and I tell Him that I'm sorry for my negativity yesterday and throw that in and it's instantly gone. I couldn't get it back if I wanted to. Guess that's the way His forgiveness works.
He throws in a 'wish flower' (I don't know the real name, but remember them? As a child, you would make a wish and if you could blow off all the fuzzies, then your wish was certain to come true) And I throw in my grudge against a friend, my worry that I am not doing my purpose and my selfishness with my time.
And then it really is just Him and me and I am
lightened,
loved,
restored.
