It's putting up my Christmas tree day. My dad says it should sit in a pail of water for about a day. The logical side of me says that my tree stand is a glorified bucket but ... the five gallon pail is a tradition now. It's not a very beautiful, nostalgic tradition, is it? But, maybe those dirty socks/stocking weren't beautiful originally either.
April Darlin' and Lulu usually come help me, because as I told you; I am not the creative one. But we are scattered around the country right now, so they will have to send inspiration via cell tower.
I'm the light person! -- I know it's the job everyone hates, but then I'm
weird.
I'm the light person! -- I am very picky about my tree lights. If you're
one of those people who just throw them on...go talk to someone
else.
I'm the light person! -- The cords should be wrapped and tucked and
hidden as much as possible.
Remember when the light cords were white, not green? At our house, we removed all the bulbs, spray painted the cords green and then tried to get them working again.
I'm the light person! -- Make me proud.
So enjoy whatever y'all are doing today. I am going to wake my house up to Christmas, first with coffee and then maybe a mimosa and then....we'll see.
