And I am delighted that I did because...
~I can never hear "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" enough (What a name???)
~I don't get to see the 'Real Santa' as much as I'd like
~I found a new favorite Christmas song, "Love Came Down at Christmas"
~I realized that God gave alot of people, alot of beautiful talents
It struck me in the middle of this performance, how talented people were. Not only the people on stage tonight that were sharing their incredible musical gifts, but also all the people I know who enrich my life. I'm acquainted with some brilliantly gifted people.
~April Darlin': who ALWAYS amazes me with her vision: her unfailing ability to see and think and create and dream divergently - what a gift!
~Lulu: who is the person I want to be when I grow up: I want to see the world that she sees
~Hunter and Dinah: who persevered through adversity and gave us a perfect beginning to a 'happily ever after'
~My dad and my brother, Scott: who can repair, patch up, restore, fix everything I've ever asked them to (by the way: Happy Birthday, Guys)
You know the people I'm talking about:
~the person at home who took the garbage out (without being asked)
~the guy that holds your door at the grocery store
~the lady that lets you go first at the stop sign
I know what you're saying, "those aren't talents".
But you are wrong.
You are so very wrong.
I may be awed when I hear Andrea Bocelli sing, but I am humbled when I walk into work after a day off and someone says, '"I missed you yesterday". Bocelli's song changes my life for 3 minutes, their statement changes my life everytime I think of it.

Okay, it's time to stand up and be counted......What's your favorite Christmas song? Is it traditional or contemporary, or one of each....is yours as good as mine?
