Archer kisses Since you were born, I have said 'kiss' or 'kisses" and then promptly attacked your face with smooches. You love/hate it but it really doesn't matter... Because it is just gonna keep happening. This past month, we can say "give me kiss" and you will (most of the time) push your face to our smoochy lips. Sometimes we get lip to lip but quite often we get lip to tongue, lipt to cheek, etc. (yup. Another way to embarrass you when you are older.)
Archer and puppy love Anybody that knows us knows we have two babies. You aaaaand Magee. Since having you, our 'fur'st baby (see what I did there??) is much more feisty when someone she doesn't know comes over. You are the first thing she "checks" on when she gets up in the morning and she is always very aware when you are upset. When you pet her (pull her hair out) she just licks you all over the face. One of your most fav things to do is watch Magee fetch a ball, or chew a bone, or sneeze. And when you get fussy, one kiss from Magee makes your little world happy again. It's definitely puppy love.
Archer's happy feet You have a definite way of letting us know your preferences and it isn't with your mouth (although you do have that lip....). When you think you are going outside, when you see a dog, when you see one of your favorite people, when you are about to eat, when you are just out-right, stinkin' happy, your feet go nuts! Therefore, you have been dubbed "happy feet."(yes. You have yet another nickname.)
Archer noises They are probably the sweetest sounds I know. The way you snort, sigh, coo, babble, breathe, laugh, cry, snore, motorboat, cough, and even whine, make me feel blessed to hear them all.
Archer baby babbles So far, we have heard "ma ma ma", "ba ba ba", "da da da", and various other little sounds. You even sort of whispered a few times the other day which was kind of adorable. Every sound melts my heart. Darlin and I like to call it our music.
Archer faces My favorite face you make (and boy can you make some faces!) has got to be your happiest of happy faces. You get crazy excited and start smiling. Then you start kicking those feet and waving your arms. Then your little nose squenches up on the left side. Then you squeal. And then my heart explodes. Every time.
Mom of the year award: I'm ashamed to admit that one of your most favorite things right now is the movie Finding Nemo. You looooooooooooooove Nemo (actually you love Dori and the little birds that say "mine, mine, mine."). You have favorite parts where you smile and your happy feet go bonkers! I know. I know. No technology before age 2 but Nemo sure has made car rides and breathing treatments a breeze and I'm definitely not mad at that. ; ) Plus, we stimulate your big ole brain with books, pek-a-boo, serious conversations, and all sorts of other shenanigans. Oh and you are a baby genius. Moms just know these things.
What's new in Archerland You aren't crawling but you roll, scoot, and try to pull up. You eat anything that is put in front of you... Veggies, pasta, bananas, pancakes, puffs, cupcakes, leaves. The boy is NOT picky.. yet. His father is still Khiron so we will see. ; ) hehe
Every stage you go through is my favorite. (Except teething. Teething is for the birds.) Your personality comes through a little more everyday and everyday you get a little funnier, a tad sweeter, a bit smarter, and just all around more loveable. Seriously, little boy, you are so very loved... Can't wait to see how you will charm us all next. Kisses!!!!
Think of the biggest thing you can imagine... I love you more than that.
Love,
Your Mama
