Dear Papa
I have always known that you were wonderful and amazing and brilliant (I could go on and on) my whole life, but I recently discovered that you have a kind-of sixth sense when it comes to predicting the gender of babies in our family. On Christmas Eve, when I told all the Geddie's I was expecting, you rubbed my belly and told me to take care of "Little Lucille." (You also told me that once I had Lucille I needed to start dressing like a Mama so my tall boots had to go! haha) I was so excited when you named the baby Lucille because, at the time, I just KNEW that BabyLove was a she. (I had a dream the night before I found out I was pregnant that I had a little girl and I couldn't get it out of my head.) About a month ago, I started changing my mind a little. You see, I have a really bad sense of direction ( I know. I did not inherit this "gift" from you). It never fails that if I think I should turn right, I definitely need to turn left. So what if the same logic applies to my mother's intuition? If I think it is a girl, then it probably is a boy. Oh well. I guess we only have a few more hours to be in suspense. And to be honest, I truly do not care what BabyLove's gender turns out to be. I'm just so excited about BabyLove's existence at all! And I am especially proud, that not only do I get to have the best Papa in the whole entire world, BabyLove is also gaining that same gift. I can see him/her now... trailing behind you on your farm, feeding chickens, petting goats, and charming bees... and of course, listening to the most thrilling stories ever about a big red truck named Goforit. I love everything about the wonderful man you are! I know BabyLove will too = )
Lots of love,
Lulu
Dear WiLu,
Being just as amazing and brilliant as Papa, you have thought since the beginning that BabyLove is a boy! It's a little funny (and coincidental) that the majority of our family thought BabyLove is a girl.... Until our little Rowan came down for a visit. And I mean, who wouldn't want another Rowan so you can't really blame us! Although, there is one really BIG thing we dont know about BabyLove, there are several things we do know... 1) he/she is going to LOVE visiting Papa and WiLu 2) he/she is going to be obsessed with WiLu's pound cakes and pralines (just like Mama) 3) we are all going to love this baby to pieces!!! I'm so glad I have you to share this experience with!!
We love you,
Lulu
Weeks? 18 weeks
Weight? +10 lbs (I’m guessing because I have literally been eating everything for a week solid. **Naughty pregnant lady!)
Gender? I have no idea but I find out TOMORROW. Excited doesn’t even begin to describe it.
Favorite thing to wear this week? Jeans with a bella band and a super (and flowy) shirt. I definitely have a belly now but it borders somewhere between looking pregnant and pudgy. Hoping the “bump” rounds on out soon!
Favorite thing to eat this week? Everything. Literally.
Sleeping? Yes but I wake up 53859023542 times.
Baby Movement? Every day I am feeling “flutters.” Love.
What makes you sick? Not eating.
Labor Signs? Nope!
Symptoms? I really have no complaints at the moment.
Stretch marks? No (fingers crossed)
Belly Button? In.
Wedding rings? On.
Mood? Excited beyond words.
Best thing that happened this week? Me and Khiron got to play in snow for like 3 days. It was awesome!
I can’t wait for: tomorrow night. Duh! We will finally know if we have a Prince or Princess swimming in my belly!
